Public Awareness Campaign on Cleanliness
North East Educational Trust in association with Oil India Limited had conducted a Public Awareness Campaign on Cleanliness as a part of its Swachhta Pakwada initiative from 1st July to 9th July’2019. The main objective of this campaign was to train children of different government schools to create awareness about the basic tenets of cleanliness by participating in workshops on street play, mime and a story writing competition. Children from different government schools performed street plays and mime across different locations in Guwahati to teach the city about cleanliness.

Showcasing of street play and Mime
The 2 street plays and the mime performance were showcased in the following locations across Guwahati:
- Uzan Bazar Govt. High School’s street play was showcased at Dighalipukhuri Park and Nehru Park
- Kamrup Academy High Secondary School’s street play at Streetzaa, Chandmari and Shradhanjali Kanan Park
- NEET Community Library’s mime at Central Mall and Rudraksh Mall
The street-plays and the mime performance were well received by the audience.
